How do I make my Internet faster?

well the obvious answer to this would be to get a faster connection from your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

However, there are a few free online solutions that will surely speed up your connection to your most loved sites.

1) Google Web Accelerator.
yes that's right, Google have developed a download that does exactly what you expect it to.

Google Web Accelerator pre-loads pages in the background so when you click it, it is all ready there and pops-up right away!!!

2) Open DNS
This is my favourite, Open DNS is free and works seamlessly.

OpenDNS has servers situated strategically at the most well-connected intersections of the Internet. Unlike your ISP, our network uses Any cast routing technology, which means no matter where you are in the world your DNS requests are answered by our closest data center. Any cast routing also means that you are automatically routed to our next closest data center in the event of maintenance or downtime. This makes your Internet faster and more reliable.

Computer Support: My Computer Is Realy Slow

Another problem i have had in the past is my machine starts to slow down significantly, and i thought to my self I will have to gat a new computer, however DONT WORRY, its fixable; there are many ways in which you can dramaticly speed up your computer.
Starting with:

1)The Easy Way, this method of speeding up your computer only works on some, and if it does work sometimes its not that impressive, to do this method you need to get a anti-virus program (I Suggest Norton) and install it, once in stalled do a complete scan on your computer and leave it until it is complete, and Norton deal with the viruses. This should speed up your computer if it is viruses.

2)The Mediocre Way, this step needs you to gat an anti-virus program and do a omplete scan of your computer, once this is done go to ‘my documents’ and delete some of the UNWANTED files, folders, photos, videos, ect. This should speed up your computer a little more that the first one.

3)The Advanced Way, (WARNING: THIS METHOD WILL TAKE ALL YOUR FILES AND PROGRAMS IF YOU DO NOT BACK THEM UP FIRST ON A EXTERNAL HARDRIVE OR ANOTHER COMPUTER, YOU CAN ALSO REMOVE THE HADRIVE AND PUT IT AN A ‘CADDY’ ON COPY THE FILES TO ANOTHER COMPUTER). once you have completed the back up you need the restore discs that came with the computer, re-boot the computer with the discs in and select master re-boot, this will resote the computer too the way you bought it, the fast state, now you can just restore all your files you backed up, or just get a new hardrive and transefe the files.

(NOTE I AM NOT RESPONSILE FOR THE DAMAGE/LOSS OF YOUR COMPUTER OR FILES)

Manintosh Support: Do Macs Get Viruses

It is possible for an Apple Macintosh to get a virus, so the short answer to the question is “Yes”. However, the likelihood of an Apple Macintosh user getting a virus when compared to a Microsoft Windows user is very little to none. In fact, many of the Apple Macintosh users don’t even run an antivirus protection program.
Below are some of the reasons why Apple Macintosh computers do not have as many viruses as Microsoft Windows.
1)Newer Macintosh operating systems, such as the Mac OS X, is built on the Unix kernel, which is one of the oldest and most secure operating systems available.2)Microsoft Windows is used by a lot more users. Because more users use Microsoft Windows, it is a lot better of a target than Apple Macintosh computers.3)Most of the virus writers are familiar with the IBM platform and Microsoft Windows, and therefore are only going to be able to create a virus for that platform.4)Many of the tools and scripts used to help users create viruses or other malware are designed for Microsoft Windows.
Note: If you’re running a virtual PC on your Apple Macintosh, because it’s emulating Microsoft Windows, it can become infected with Windows viruses and you should be running an antivirus protection program on it. In addition an Apple Macintosh can serve as a virus carrier, meaning that a virus could be stored on an Apple Computer yet not infect it. But if that computer were to connect to a network or a user was to forward an infected e-mail to a Windows computer that could become infected.

This is a list of virus programs that support different systems:

Computer Support: NTLDR IS MISSING

A problem I had recently was on boot up my screen displayed ‘NTLDR is missing’.
this means new technology loader is missing, which means your computer is booting from an unbootable source, this is caused becuase the file may have been delted or corupt by a virus.
how to resolve:
DONT WORRY, it is fixable. you need your restore discs that came with your comp when you bought it, now if you start your computer and put these discs in it will go to master reboot, this will restore your computer to the way you bought it, however it will wipe your hardrive.
now, if you have important files and photos that you dont want to lose you are still o.k., you should have them backed up though, as i have learnt.
Now to get your comp working again you will need to remove your hardrive (refer to owners manual), after you have removered the hardrive you need to put it in to a ‘hardrive caddy’, which you can get from any computer shop and online, when you put your hardrive in to the caddy connect it to another computer oyu can accses.
once connected i recomend that you scan ot for viruses and remove them. one you have done that open the hardrive in ‘my computer’ on the start menu, open, and look at the files you need and copy them to a folder on the computer the you are using.(note you may have to format your hardrive when you have coied the files you want, this will clean the hardrive and it will speed up the reboot process).
once you have copied your files put your hardrive back in YOUR computer (the one that is not working).
once you have inserted the hardrive, boot the computer up with the restore discs in. now you can use the master reboot, because your files are backed up. select the master reboot, it will take a while to restore, it will go throgh ‘ghost’, which will put your computer back to the way your bought it.
if when you insert the hardrive into the caddy it is not read your hardrive is ‘dead’ and nothing can be do about it. you will have to buy a new hardrive and just master reboot it out of the box, because you have no files on the new one.
